I have a new callsign. How do I change my callsign on EchoLink?
If you are already validated on EchoLink, and now your callsign has changed, you will need to
validate your new callsign.
Please follow these steps:
- Change the callsign in your software's configuration. The exact steps depend on which platform you
are running. See the next item below.
- Re-start the software.
- With a browser, go to the EchoLink Validation page: echolink.org/validation.
- Follow the steps described there. When it comes time to upload a license document,
please enter your old callsign in the space provided for that.
- You will receive an e-mail confirmation when your new callsign has been validated.
How do I set the new callsign in my software?
- EchoLink for Windows: From the Tools menu, choose Setup. Click the button "Change Callsign". Enter the new callsign.
- EchoLink for iOS: On the Settings tab, choose Callsign and Password, and enter the new callsign, then tap the back button at the top.
- EchoLink for Android: Bring up the app Settings via the three dots in the upper-right corner. Change the callsign and go Back.
- EchoLink Web: At webapp.echolink.org, enter the new callsign in the login form.
- Other software: Check the documentation or Help files for details.
I have a US callsign and my callsign changed a while ago. Any special steps?
The EchoLink system may have already detected your callsign change, and may have already validated your new callsign. If so, you should
have received an e-mail message about it. In this case, you only need to do steps 1 and 2 above.
I have a second callsign and want to keep the original one, so I can use both on EchoLink. How do I do this?
For single user mode (with no suffix), EchoLink does not allow more than one callsign to be validated per user. If you hold multiple
callsigns, you must choose only one to use with EchoLink, no matter where in the world you will be operating from.
